BusDénia launches a campaign in educational centres to encourage young people to use public transport
BusDénia promotes youth mobility through an information campaign in Dénia’s secondary schools
5 of October of 2026
BusDénia and Dénia City Council have launched an information campaign in educational centres to raise awareness of the Djove travel card and make the application process easier for students under the age of 18. This initiative will ensure that students receive all the information they need about this transport pass and can apply for it more conveniently through their schools.
Throughout October, information leaflets and application forms will be distributed to secondary schools in Dénia so that students and their families can learn about the benefits of the Djove card and the steps required to obtain it. The documentation will be handed out by the schools themselves, which will also collect the completed applications and forward them to the City Council for processing.
The campaign will reach the following educational centres:
- IES Historiador Chabàs
- IES Sorts de la Mar
- IES Maria Ibars
- CC San Juan Bautista
- CC Scientia Dénia
- CC Paidos
- Colegio Alfa i Omega
The Djove card is a transport pass designed for young people under the age of 18 who use BusDénia for their daily journeys. For just €8.50, users receive 10 trips, at a cost of €0.85 per journey, and can enjoy free transfers between urban bus lines for up to 45 minutes. It is an affordable and sustainable way to travel around the city, whether for school, sports activities, leisure, or any other daily need.
With this initiative, BusDénia and Dénia City Council reinforce their commitment to sustainable mobility by making public transport more accessible to young people for their everyday journeys.
